i have sympathy for the Base team because running such project in a corporation is not easy. everyone (both inside and outside) has their own vision and you need to somehow find a consensus AND generate profit.
but i also wonder what if all the money, energy and attention went into different areas than they did

In the last two weeks I spent 100+ hours on vibecoding.
Now I'm pretty sure that people who say they "vibecoded an app in 30 minutes" are either building some copy/paste projects, produce some buggy shit, or just lie to get engagement.
