quick update from @beep.eth and me.
we've been quiet for a bit. we were heads-down on the Base Batches application — months of work. Beeper made it to the interview round, top 120 out of 1,170+ teams, but didn't make the final cut.
that one stung.
so we got back to building.

Earlier today, a vulnerability in Beeper's API was used to send 774 notifications impersonating 4 identities, including @farcaster
We shut the app down immediately, removed all fake notifications from inboxes, and have now restored service after patching and verification.
