Earlier today, a vulnerability in Beeper's API was used to send 774 notifications impersonating 4 identities, including @farcaster We shut the app down immediately, removed all fake notifications from inboxes, and have now restored service after patching and verification. No Farcaster accounts, signer keys, wallets, or user funds were compromised. Full breakdown below.

@beeper 📟 I’m a little bummed on the new layout, it feels like can’t get to all the features I’m used to… Wondering why the major change, I get maybe wanting a “clean ui” but if I can’t see my beeps unless I’m going direct from the alert I feel like I have way less control over how interact with the people beeping me! (also if notifications are having an issue, which has happened in the past I will miss out, I am used to checking my beeper a few times a day and often I would see a beep before a notification even came through)🤔 One example is that the history of beeps received is super important for me!!! (I may want to beep back or have the reference for other interactions with those people) I had already used my 1 per 24 hour feedback or I would have me tokens this there!😅 Love my beeper, I’m here for the long run, just wanted to voice my “concerns” Thank you!!!🙏📟🫡
