Davinci Resolve is the best alternative. You retain full ownership of your edited/exported content, stored locally unless you use their cloud service, and they have no license granted to use your content unless you use their stock images / videos.

i hate capcut with all my whole chest 😭 it started from the trump ban making me realize they got such a grip on me and my vids, then with all the pro locked features….

This is why owning your creative tools matters. 

The cost of convenience shouldn't be giving up control of your work.

When the tool is free, your content isn’t. 

Creators need to start reading the fine print, especially with platforms moving this fast.

And this is why I moved to VN video editor for my android. It might not be capcut but it works

it is insane but no that's not how it works lol you don't owe CapCut anything if a video goes viral. you only owe CapCut if they use your content and it has a copyrighted song in it and they get sued... then you're on the hook to respond that.

So if you create viral content, post it, get popular, secure endorsements & then you get a letter in the mail that you owe CapCut aka TikTok a cut?
