Luca Van Boven crashed hard and still managed to finish the stage. Then, reading the news afterwards, I found out he did it with two broken ribs and a collapsed

Yesterday, we got something⦠unexpected. Not really in the overall picture, but there was a one-off moment, definitely worth mentioning.
Enric Mas did something I havenβt seen many riders do in recent years: close the gap after a serious PogaΔar attack. It reminded me of those moments

Weβre entering CastellΓ³n, one of the most mountainous regions in Spain, second only to Granada in overall elevation and with one of the highest densities of mountain passes in the country. Perfect scenario for cycling.

The rain and strong crosswinds are breaking up the peloton, with riders scattered all over the road and Team UAE keeping a close eye on the breakaway.
The dayβs biggest climb is still to come, itβs the first mountain finish of this Vuelta.
