Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 10 live… Back after the rest day, and straight into the Giro’s only individual time trial. A completely different challenge today. No team tactics, no drafting, no way to hide for the GC riders... only there has only been some controversy surrounding Vingegaard’s KOM (King of the Mountain) skinsuit, which he is required to wear as the current leader of this classification in this Giro; and his team has complained that it does not match the official Visma jersey performance and that this could put him at a disadvantage in the time trial. In any case, given his current form, he’ll likely take the lead today in the pink jersey. The clear favorite to win today, is the Italian, Filippo Ganna, who has already finished his race and set the fastest time. Photo by Zac Williams

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 09 live… Another final climb day. A strong breakaway up the road featuring several interesting names for today’s stage win. Ciccone, Rubio, Aerts, Milesi… So yes, the winner could very well come from the break if they manage the effort well and keep collaborating. In any case, Corno alle Scale should decide the day. Also a good opportunity to see whether Vingegaard wants to put more pressure on this Giro before tomorrow’s rest day. Photo by Getty Images

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 08 live… No easy recovery after Blockhaus. Several climbs later in the stage and enough terrain to keep things interesting, with multiple attempts to form the breakaway from the very first kilometers. Not the kind of stage to win the Giro, but the kind that can easily make someone lose it. Curious to see what happens on the explosive final climb, and whether Jonas will try to take more time on his direct rivals. Photo by Tim De Weale/Getty Images

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 07 live… First summit finish of this Giro and first real mountain test for the GC contenders. 245 km, cold, rain, a long day in the legs and everything comes down to one thing: the Blockhaus climb! Today should bring some real answers to the race. Unless there are any big surprises, Vingegaard should strike first in this climb. Photo by Zac Williams

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 06… After yesterday’s intense finale between Afonso Eulálio (current GC leader) and Igor Arrieta (stage winner)… today, Napoli! Classic Naples stage with a technical urban finale. Sprint stage on paper, but this Giro keeps finding ways to make even sprint days feel nervous. If it comes down to a bunch sprint in the end… could this be Paul Magnier’s third win? Photo by Getty Images

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 05 live… This is a very Giro kind of stage. Nothing fully obvious today… too demanding for many sprinters, but probably not enough terrain for the GC guys to go crazy on the climbs. Breakaway ahead, peloton trying to control… but the final kilometers should make things interesting later on. Cold weather, rain and stormy conditions are adding an extra layer of difficulty to an already tricky day. This is also one of those stages where eating properly and constantly adjusting clothing choices can become surprisingly decisive. A day where legs, timing and race instinct may matter more than pure strength. Let’s see what happe... I’m definitely not missing this one! Photo by Getty Images

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 04 live… After the rest day and the transfer from Bulgaria, the Giro is finally on Italian roads. Not everyone made it here in one piece… Wilco Kelderman didn’t start today after fighting through the aftermath of his Stage 02 crash, while Kaden Groves also left the race, still carrying injuries from earlier days. A very smart move from Movistar Team on today’s long climb split the peloton and caught out some big names, including the Maglia Rosa. Now a small front group is heading to the finish to fight for the stage. Let’s see who gets it today 👀 Photo by Getty Images

Considering the state of the crypto market, that might be interesting for some of you When I am bike packing, I usually grab some of the sugar packages at the coffee stops and put the sugar into my water bottle. My friend made fun of me doing it, but actually, it worked great for me. https://youtu.be/6Nc05qIqza0?si=NWSeZgx7a0efMXgr

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 03… Today feels like a reset after yesterday’s horrible crash, which took a serious toll on the peloton. The race has already lost Jay Vine, Santiago Buitrago, Marc Soler, Ådne Holter, and Matteo Moschetti, and today both Adam Yates and Andrea Vendrame did not start. Brutal sport! As for today’s stage victory, everything points to another sprint finish, hopefully a cleaner one this time. Among the usual suspects: Jonathan Milan, Kaden Groves, Tobias Lund Andresen, or Dylan Groenewegen, and I’m going with Paul Magnier for the win. Photos by Getty Images

I am going back to the mountain pass pipeline. When does a mountain pass actually start? It's easy to say where it ends, but where does a climb actually start ?

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 02… Absolute chaos again today! A massive crash took down almost all of UAE Team Emirates, hitting several GC contenders hard. Derek Gee and Adam Yates went down, while Santiago Buitrago, Ådne Holter, Jay Vine and Marc Soler were forced to abandon after being taken away by ambulance. Up front, Vingegaard tested the legs but couldn’t break things apart, with young Pellizzari following every move and looking like he still had something left in the tank. Stage win went to Guillermo Thomas Silva after the final sprint, taking the Maglia Rosa as well. First Uruguayan ever to win a Grand Tour stage, and first to wear pink. A huge milestone for a country where making it as a pro cyclist is anything but easy 🇺🇾 Photos by Getty Images

Eyes on Giro d’Italia 🇮🇹 Stage 01… Almost quietly, Giro d’Italia is already underway. On paper, there seems to be one clear favorite for the final GC: Jonas Vingegaard. The rest feel more like dark horses, with young Giulio Pellizzari as one of the most interesting names to follow. Hopefully, this Giro still brings some surprises. This edition also starts in an unusual location, with the first three stages taking place in Bulgaria. Stage 01 today, looked set for a classic bunch sprint until a huge crash completely changed the script and boxed in most of the peloton. Paul Magnier, or as some call him in France, “L'autre Paul - The other Paul” 😅, took the first win and the first Maglia Rosa. Giro is officially on, and I’m going to enjoy it as much as I can 😁 Photos by Getty Images
