Eyes on the Snow Bike World Championships 🇫🇷 … I didn’t even have this cycling discipline on my radar. There are 2 events: 1.- Super-G High-speed downhill track. Best time wins. 2.- Dial slalom Two riders race side by side on parallel courses. Together with CX on snow and ice… I still don’t understand why there’s no winter cycling in the Winter Olympics. Eyes on Hulst 🇳🇱 today… CX World Championships Day 3 Yesterday, the favorites delivered in the Elite Women’s race, with an untouchable Lucinda Brand taking the rainbow jersey, just as she’s been showing all season long. Full Dutch podium 🟠🟠🟠 Today, all eyes are on the big champion: Mathieu van der Poel, once again the top favorite. He just keeps making history. MVDP!!! One last battle on this demanding CX season, one rainbow jersey on the line, and the best possible way to close the winter. I’m really going to enjoy this today 😌

Eyes on the CX World Championships in Hulst 🇳🇱 Day 1 Mixed Relay Race. No big surprises to start the weekend… The orange team from the Netherlands took the win with a commanding performance, led by Shirin van Anrooij and finished off by Tibor Del Grosso. The podium looked like this: 🥇 Netherlands 🇳🇱 🥈 Italy 🇮🇹 🥉 Belgium 🇧🇪 Not a bad way for the home team to open the weekend. Just warming up… 🔥 More action tomorrow, and the main course on Sunday.

Eyes on the end of the CX World Cup… Yesterday was one for the history books. Mathieu van der Poel didn’t just win the final round of the season, he also put on a show, holding nothing back and demonstrating a clear supremacy that makes him the top favorite for next Sunday’s World CX Championships. On top of that, he now sits alone at the top of the all-time CX World Cup wins with 51 victories, and clinched his second overall CX World Cup title. Damn, this guy! 😅 He flies! Looking like it's no effort at all! This year’s World Cup has been faster than ever, and that speed has made it even more spectacular to watch. Eyes on Hoogerheide 🇳🇱 today… Final round! Yesterday I witnessed an all-time masterclass from Mathieu van der Poel: two punctures, two comebacks, zero panic; only pure class and power to win anyway. Today, he’ll surely go for it again, to increase the record he already tied yesterday with 50 wins, standing alone at the top. And he doesn’t even need to take risks, because he just needs 3 points to secure the overall World Cup; simply finishing the race would almost be enough. But this guy doesn’t know how to compete if it’s not full gas. 😬 For Thibau Nys, it would take a miracle: he needs to win first, and then MVDP would have to end up 25th or worse… A tough final track for the last dance of the CX World Cup season, in theory, one of the most demanding in the entire calendar. I’ll happily settle for just half the fun I had yesterday 😅 Photo: getty-images

Eyes on Maasmechelen 🇧🇪 today… First half of the final weekend! From what I’ve already seen in the Women Elite race, the course looks properly tricky: frozen sections, super-fast hardpack, and some deep muddy part, almost feels like a MTB track... so surviving might be good enough today 😅 Let’s see who handles this mix best! As usual, the big favorite is Mathieu van der Poel, like in pretty much everything he races. Eyes on the final CX World Cup weekend… Last two races of the season Maasmechelen 🇧🇪 (Jan 24) Hoogerheide 🇳🇱 (Jan 25) Two battlefields left, and somehow… Mathieu van der Poel might end up winning the CX World Cup almost by accident 😂 Racing half a schedule, showing up when he feels like it, riding 90km just before starting last race... and still right there at the top. Eyes on Benidorm 🇪🇸 today… Finally here, CX World Cup Round 10. That cyclocross hour I’ve been counting down to, suddenly gets even better… boom! Mathieu van der Poel makes a last-second U-turn and lines up to race 🤩 Nys will have to double down if he wants to defend last year’s win. Once again, it feels like 🇧🇪⚔️🇳🇱 with permission from local hero Felipe Orts, who’s been preparing for this race in front of his home crowd all season. @bracky when are including any of the cycling disciplines in your market?
