I’m about to go to bed at 10PM. It’s been a long day, and I got a super early morning tomorrow. I have a real estate event that starts at 8am tomorrow, so I gotta get up extra early to get my workout and morning prayer in, and then drive an hour to the event. Is 10Pm too early? I feel like people in crypto go to bed super late, like 2-3am on average. I don’t actually know, I just feel like that’s the Web3 vibe. Is that a hot take?

I'd say avoid all the performative things you can. Founder life is over-glamorized as something that requires every sacrifice in exchange for outsized returns. Both sides of that coin are, frankly, stupid and won't be useful or truthful for 99% of founders. There's always more work, but you'll never get back the time for anything else. For the record, I'm in bed by 10 most nights, wake at 4am almost every day but make time for my health, family, and friends in there still.

Just listen to your body. It tells you best when to sleep and when not to

I used to sleep at 6am and wake up at 4pm some days (nights) in England to keep up with working on PST timing Then as a founder my sleep was constantly out of whack — nowadays it’s a much more respectable 10:30pm - 1:30am to be up around ~8am on average I’d say

I’m in bed before 11pm and usually up before 6:30am now. I feel way better (physically and mentally) than when I used to go to bed at 5am & wake up after lunch. Being nocturnal had its own charm to it; feeling like you’re the only one awake in the world in the dead of night, and the eerie silence that replaces the daytime hum. But I feel healthier now

I have a newborn, so I target 12am bedtime so I can do a late feed, and awake by 5:30 for a gym session before work

Most underrated alpha: waking up clear while everyone’s still recovering. Crypto doesn’t sleep, but you probably should.
