The meta on Farcaster is always shifting, and I’m here for that. I’m here for the experiments, for the sense of possibility, and for seeing what emerges next. But more than anything, I’m here for the people - for the deep thinkers, the nerd-outs, the generosity, the quality of conversation, and the shared curiosity about the future of the internet and society. I love conversations about how we live well: how we build our social spaces, how philosophy and art shape us, how artists thrive, how communities form, and how creativity and science sit alongside one another. Over the past year or so, I’ve felt those conversations slipping beneath the surface. The scenius that defines Farcaster still exists, but it isn’t being held or surfaced in the way it once was. And the increasing speed and disposability of social spaces troubles me. For a long time, I assumed someone else would fix this. I focused on my art. I waited. But somewhere along the way I had to admit what I already know about myself: I’m a philosopher-builder at heart. Everything I create comes from wanting to build for how we live well. And eventually it became clear that the thing I was waiting for - a space designed to hold depth, quality, curiosity, and community - wasn’t going to appear on Farcaster unless I built it. Depthcaster is for people who care about how we build our digital spaces, how we shape culture, how artists thrive, how communities form, and how we live well in a world defined by technology and creativity. It’s for philosophers, nerds, builders, artists, and anyone who wants to think out loud with others who care. What Depthcaster aims to do 1. Surface the scenius - bringing thoughtful, generous, high-quality conversation back into view. 2. Create a home for depth - a place where ideas can land, breathe, and evolve. 3. Support the intrinsically motivated - the people building for the future, not just for the meta. 4. Hold space for culture - art, philosophy, community, creativity, and the things that make us more than algorithms and incentives. 5. Build with taste - not “feeds for everyone,” but a crafted experience for those who want it.

Seems to me that decentralised social might have some value to add here / another onboarding vector. Opportunity for a client… right? https://www.theguardian.com/media/2025/dec/09/youth-movement-digital-justice-spreading-across-europe?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other
