I know you made the drawing above as a joke. But actually, the ability to very quickly and easily reproduce a logo from memory, using any media, in a few line strokes was something we at /roam felt was important. The simpler the logo the better it proliferates. Think of the Christian cross, the Bitcoin β‚Ώ or the peace symbol. I imagine this was also a consideration for the other companies mentioned. Yes, some look a bit similar but I also happen to think they look good and are reflective of high quality design teams building extremely well crafted, tasteful products and brands - like @rodeodotclub, @iyk, @syndicate and Arena. Let's build together rather than dunk on each other.
