Ngl feels wild that I have 400k+ followers on here and have a bunch of posts that get less than 10 likes. I know its kinda an impossible problem to solve but psychologically just feels weird. Def on me to post better content but makes me not want to post niche stuff I care deeply about and instead just engagement farm topics that are more in the meta. Anyone else or just me?

comparable thoughts here, with 6k followers my casts get ~6 likes on average maybe. So 0.1%. The part of farcaster I enjoy most is finding the most pertinent or the most overlooked channels, and making banger posts there. Which twitter doesn't have.

I have observed my own behavior- I like so so so many things where I don’t hit the like button. So I don’t get caught up on engagement metrics. I post my niche topics and I don’t get as many likes but I do it for me, and I think people appreciate it more over time. Esp when it comes to niche, it’s an opportunity to educate people and if they are learning about something new, it takes time before they know how to engage with it. It doesn’t make it less valuable.

imo the movement away from active play (visiting channels) to passive play (all-in on the home feed) totally backfired. bla bla mobile users revealed preferences. its boring, and not just bc the engagement sucks

what channel u post in seems to have a huge effect on the exposure, at least from what i can tell obv there are a lot of bots here but still you have a massive following- i don't think it's your content tbh, i think it's more of a discovery and algo thing

I’d say the niche stuff in the right channel probably would get better interaction honestly. Also, the Algo has been different so if you’re not engaging as much here then it does fall off a little bit Most people still find better engagement here than on Twitter. Has that been the same for you or no?
