Honestly dreading a drb run.
It's fine in a vacuum.
But I can smell, taste, feel, see, and hear the desperate fumes building around something that would so obviously end up disappointing everyone.
The collective faith in a robot to save the meta or whatever is not it.
But that's how low the conviction in people is....

@farcaster:
Let me attach any token to any cast.
Show users the erc type and let them transact.
Support auctions, buy now, trade, open editions.
I will design.

this software is going to make me cry at some point. personal software is a uniquely cathartic thing to create. the internal roi is insane...refreshing and pure value. the effort -> value ratio is maxed.
i get the experience of making it and the utility it provides. things made with love give energy.
i promise that s...
instead of gamifying via goals, streaks, and other incentive systems i know don't work (for me), my personal os uses narrative-based gamification.

companies of scale should use their resources to incubate, not extract from the ecosystem. onboarding will happen automatically.
the fix is outrageously simple, and it's venture scale because of network effects. pvp has no network effects. successful social networks facilitate connections don't lose the plot.

cracked mechanic?
auction off erc20 token supply via fc cast bid.
think i need to experiment with this and @oeth.eth mints

i'm going to talk about 'user-owned distribution networks', 'software as art', and 'tokens as social networks' over and over.
could not be more zag, but that's pure opportunity. i'd rather try to build the future than fight in overcrowded, dying coliseums.
i'm already living in an aesthetic ethereum

There is a collective vision here that will be glorious when, not if, it is realized
Collective of Artists vs Influencers
-----------
tldr: Assets are the only place for artists because an 'Asset is most durable -- assuming you can maintain interest in the asset' - @dwr

Free entertainment dominates attention
For reference
- 90% of people on social media sites passively consume

our industry (in particular) rewards (online) social status (attention) more than anything.
people who were early, people who have capital, people who make noise, people who have connections.
they reap regardless of their impact and intent. again and again.
the result is cultural and technical stagnation.

we're in a very interesting time for social media in that founders/teams are actively gaslighting their users while they struggle to validate business decisions.
this all comes back to venture scale requirements and/or greed.
these people are too smart to believe what they're saying.

Quite simply, the capital in the space is poorly allocated.
Particularly around creativity (which is hella broad).
You will start to see @oeth.eth roll out $oETH grants to those building an aesthetic ethereum.
It's not worth much right now, but one day you'll look at the holder network and say, shit, this is pure si...

The problem with the base/farcaster/zora ecosystem is:
The products built for the mega-vague "trader" audience are the opposite of dogfed.
We have large-enough sample size to conclude that these teams are not using their own products.
How often is [founder/team member] actually "trading"?
We can link this to cont...

Building a personal os and personal website have to be two of the highest leverage vibe code projects; highly recommend everyone start or get to these two.
Huge learning reps, single-user maintenance, easily and infinitely improvable. Evergreen.
Not to mention the value of the software itself.
