Depends, emojis like 🎩🍖🎭 scream farmer / low quality user unless it's someone I already know I hope people don't want to avoid me over my very cute and approachable 💭 emoji, that would be a bummer

Avoid. Most such emojis are typically done to signal in-group membership. This effectively means the person has decided to delegate part of their personal identity to that of the group identity. I prefer people that do not self-bucket themselves like that. (Which, of course, is itself a group!)

worth noting that people using screen readers have to listen to all the emojis spoken out loud and it can be quite long-winded when there are multiple

As a user I honestly don't look at them or pay much attention. As a frame developer its a pain in the @$$ to display properly 😛

Judging by the emojis on their username is like judging a book by the cover. Although, you can still correlate something between rhetorical number of emojis and the quality of the caster. Still, it’s a delicate thing to do.

It depends for me cause it usually just meant what tokens they tip. But after reading the consensus on the replies, i removed mine :(
