Sad to hear about Dan Simmons. RIP. Stumbling across Hyperion in a bookstore in a Bangalore mall was an important fork in the road, down into a world of literature and scifi. Ill always be thankful for that.

one interesting thing about ai discourse is most people are talking about replacing systems of record and elon is talking about generating binaries and rendering frames, and the latter is probably the right end game to be thinking about when it comes to the impact of ai on software

New channel creation is back! it was borked since warps deprecation Now back on web - pops up Warplet - uses Base USDC instead of Warps - mobile might take a bit since App Stores get weird re: crypto payments let us know if any issues 🪐

Warps Update As part of the transition to Neynar, Warp purchases will be temporarily paused and all warps will be refunded as USDC to Farcaster wallets. After a few days, Neynar will restart warp purchases which can be used for channels, signers and so on.

A lot of the people voicing train of thought this seem disappointed or nostalgic. Honestly, writing software with agents in these last few weeks has been the most fun I’ve had in a long time. Excited for the new era.

This has been said a thousand times before, but allow me to add my own voice: the era of humans writing code is over. Disturbing for those of us who identify as SWEs, but no less true. That's not to say SWEs don't have work to do, but writing syntax directly is not it.
