Audiobooks come after podcasts, meaning that after I listened through the episodes in my Up Next, I'll go with a chapter during a walk, either after lunch or in the late afternoon. I also like to listen when driving, but I can't retain that much..

For those who answered 1 and are willing to share, I’d be curious who has some sort of neurodivergent trait. For me it’s ADHD. Anecdotally, I’ve found my friends with ADHD tend to listen to audiobooks more than my friends without it.

1. I have an aural learning style and do a lot of repetitive driving for work. So audiobooks are perfect. Non-fiction via audio (90%> of my reading). Some fiction via paper back in bed.

4 I prioritize listening to music first and foremost; it helps me focus. Audiobooks require me to stop being physically active or else I block out the book entirely.

2. we only use them on long car rides with the kids. otherwise I don't use them at all, prefer short form audio content and would rather read a book than listen.
