struggling to get behind the idea that posts should be tokens and can also be collectibles they aren’t speculative. They aren’t gamba. So what are they? I can’t figure out thesis Other than “try shit and see how it goes” which I’m all for and glad people are doing. I guess the hope is that it switches to being more speculative ? That this becomes a way for people to make money? I’m just not seeing the vision on why tokenize everything other than because we can Pls don’t kill me

I think the creator token makes a bit more sense. The individual tokens are more like "tipping" I guess.. but if the creator doesn't sell, then it just helps the overall Creator MC go up. Then the creator can occasionally withdraw as a payment for continued service. I used to be anti-coin it but I'm coming around

casts as tokens is inherent pvp and zero sum casts as collectibles w auctions • creates grails out of popular casts • drives txn in farcaster wallet (KPI) • keeps dollars moving between farcasters • is fun and possibly speculative TBD i’m most curious to see if the behavior lasts and if there are any large secondary sales post-auction

I’m with you on this, I can only think of a few creative ways to incentivize a following or community to collect/bid Although, people often surprise me in crypto ngl… but deff think every post being coined or collectible isn’t reasonable

But yeah, the vision still feels fuzzy. Feels less like a clear path and more like open experimentation. Just glad people are building — even if we don’t fully get it yet...

I think collectibles make a little more sense in that it’s just a single nft and if people really want that sure go ahead buy it But posts as tokens is a horrible idea that I don’t think does anyone any favors other than people who already have large followings and want to pull some fees from their followers aping their posts

I see it more as another iteration of social tipping, it's wanting to support the creator but also show everyone that you are

I’m trying to think of this too. The only logical thing I can see is that it’s miniature tipping culture. Someone made post that’s insightful, entertaining or anything that made you feel something and you want to tip them by buying a bit of it. Besides that, still not sure either.

It’s just one big playground. For now, it can be fun and even maybe cool time pieces if that’s what you collect or like. Making everything a product turns you into a product eventually so I’m a little wary of where this is going.

The tokenization is running on the back bones of $Zora. Liquidity pools are held in $Zora. If you had anything coined from a week ago, it's % is rising the same as $Zora. Even if you only get a dollar in the pool, this could be like buying your own bitcoin pizza. These posts could be retirement in a decade or two foe some of us... As EVERYTHING gets coined, they will use $Zora coin to back liquidity... More and more tokens, more and more zora. Driving the price up... As this MASSIVE onboard process takes place, I suggest not only Coining your posts, but putting money in them yourself... I'm small fries in this world, but I know numbers. "Buy your friend's post!" For the next million people... Trust this lil $Kender7 • $Zora is on its way to the moon, several times over. The sooner you get in, the more you benefit from this process... (also, adding liquidity on a dip helps) 🤘😎 I just don't know how to get in on TBA TBH... THANK YOU FOR COMING TO MY T.E.D. TALK!

I agree, personally quite jaded from seeing a million and one tokens per day already, all posts being tokens for any reason other than fun and having glorified screenshots is probably not going to last long as a meta or become a full blown narrative.
