Did eventually fix this by writing a small example app using onchainkit, deploy to localhost, and _that wallet_ synced the passkey. After that my fls localhost website started working where before the passkey could not be read. Sure a session reset probably would have helped.
How tf to use a base app wallet on desktop? @jessexbt
1st computer: gives me a QR code, I scan that on my base app phone, I pick the Proton Pass key, nothing happens
2nd computer: Asks me for a hardware USB key (which is not what I setup with)
Both computers have Proton Pass, and so should also have the passkey.

useless SIWE example @base.base.eth onchainkit
- hardcoded address? wtf
- module level window access, doesn't work in any modern react library
- no server side nonce or verification example
- no real SIWE session handling

impossible to verify X in the verify miniapp when the X account is secured with a passkey because of the sandboxed browser
