how would you feel about a product that rewarded you with liquid tokens for using it, but every time you used a competitor's product, it divided future reward distributions by 50%? idea #2: same as above but opt-in. earn 1x rewards by default or 2x for putting a ring on it

the idea is to trade cash money + future upside for maximum loyalty. ride or die and win

Often easy to use a competitor from an alt wallet And tbh, I think energy is usually better spent on finding pmf vs token incentive plans

i assume users also pay to use the product, or are they just getting rewarded with tokens for using it + not using a competitor product?

Feels like a zero sum approach to a market. Dislike Alternative: 1x rewards by using, and something like 2x rewards if you lock your rewards for some amount of time (contingent on actually using product to earn the rewards)

The NFT platforms kinda do this already. Not much different than a traditional loyalty program, it’s just a bit more aggressive. Try it and let the free market decide.

It’s super smart, but it’d be even better if users felt like long term partners, not just consumers

Freedom of choice is important. What’s the incentive for the company to build a better product if not motivated by fear of churn? That being said I’ll be churning from Whoop this year because they offer no tangible rewards for being a loyal member. So maybe rewards are enough to combat this.

details matter, esp what the token represents, blah blah blah BUT if using uber or lyft exclusively gave me free access to their equity i'd probably put a ring on it. that being said, it'd give me a ton of ~anxiety/anger if the one i was married to wasn't working (or really backed up) and i needed to get somewhere..

Idea #1 feels a bit aggressive, but incentivizing loyalty could definitely drive long-term engagement. Idea #2 is more appealing with the opt-in approach.
