I’ve been wondering how much it really matters that I stay active on Farcaster, posting, replying, etc. versus just focusing on building cool stuff. Maybe I don’t need to be so involved. There’s no clear answer. Zuckerberg barely engaged, neither does pump.fun. If the product is great, maybe that’s enough. And with tokens, the market often matters more than anything else. Still thinking on it.

In an attention economy you’ve got to be present to stay relevant. I think that’s one of the things that makes Farcaster unique - users’ ability to openly interact with the founders of cool projects. In my opinion, it’s why the projects launched here garner so much support.

If I’m gonna be honest dude, you sound pretty demotivated. But this is the exact time you need to be posting *more*. I don’t really think you have the luxury of not building in public or not engaging with customers. The moment you stop talking to customers is a death trap

You have a valid point about a great product being enough. While DEGEN won't necessarily need your direct involvement on Farcaster, it's most certainly a great touch that has direct impact on the community. As far as web3 is concerned, the founder's interaction with the community has profound effect. Maybe if you show me a web3 project with the founder/team not interacting with the community I might have a change in opinion

Remaining community may still appreciate it but price is not much directly affected anymore as a CEX coin, only through (value of) onboarded ecosystem builders, supporters, users of $degen (apps). The great initial communication, cooperative building & your outreach & grants with the (external) community (builders), the fast (publicly communicated) iterations, as well as community voices like wake rallied people, devs, speculators and set it up for success aka 3rd party buy-in. That mostly stopped though with building degen & its supporters into a hole (Degen l3 instead of focusing on farcaster x base, socialfi, apps) & as of now I think of Degen no more as a community project but another tech project, CEX meme led by you. I guess it mostly trades on big (farcaster/degen) news. I have doubts there is a great community these days that can make a difference for new apps in the eco. Communicating less will prob reduce signal in /degen and there will be even more pressure on you coming up with a killer product

In my opinion, founders who are active and transparent usually generate trust and a sense of community around their product. Your presence humanizes the product, especially in the early stages. Interacting directly with us gives you first-hand information about what we love or what bothers us. Your activity indicates that you are listening, which encourages more honest comments. I think you should focus on building a great product, but be strategic in your presence. Participate when it brings value, listen to your users, and let the impact of the product speak for itself. Find a balance that doesn't distract from your main goals

I personally really enjoy seeing you engaged here, not just for the updates, but to get you take on things in general, or just have some fun with memes, is valuable to many of us!!🤠🙌 Plus Zuckerberg is a alien robot, sent to do some testing in humanities addiction to vanity & dopamine, also PumpFun is a scourge on the web3 community that pretty much stalled out a pre bull, in my humble opinion, mainly making newbies into exit liquidity…😅 (they don’t hold a candle to /degen and yourself)😉💪 You do you bro, but if my thoughts have any impact on your decision making process, I think it’s dope to have you here active with us little folks!!!😎🤙

I think there is definitely a place here for you to convey the degen vision and get some vibe check. The community love seeing the dev presence though it need not to be daily (or could even be outsourced to a few trust worthy champions)
