I bet with my kids more than friends. It keeps my losses in the β€œlocal” economy.

i bet lunch with friends fairly regularly, i send a calendar invite on expiration date with the terms, helps reframe a disagreement into something concrete/measurable but mostly it's just an excuse to get lunch later -- works great!

Weekly. Play golf once a week and would love if we could settle in a group chat, rather than then loose cash I have to keep stocked in my bag.

Looks like prevalence of apps has cut into peer-to-peer appetite. There was a 2022-23 pew study that found solo-betting apps have cut into the "social betting" habits of past: - people with online sportsbook account is up to 20+% (from ~10%) - people who bet with family / friends down to 15% (from ~35%) - people who did social pools down to 35% (from ~50%) This aligns with what I see anecdotally, both IRL and with bracket I think there are new formats of social betting that will emerge though (bracket has already found a couple that work)

I'd be willing to bet that @tldr, @passafiume.eth and @maxp.eth have reviewed some sort of data on this given my understanding of future plans for @bracky to launch ad-hoc wagers among friends on basically anything

Less than 10%. Real only bet P2P when im golfing or doing pool bets (more rare). It’s way more fun to place a bet with all your friends on a centralized Sportsbook and watch it succeed or fail over some beers.
