This was my biggest issue with the Network State takeover of Farcaster. Pretty bad way to get introduced to the new operator of the protocol.
I understand the need to define a clear vision and rules but this approach was less than ideal.

Knowing all this – it saddens me to see that the technodemocracy experiment imposed on Farcaster's flagship user base on day one *preemptively barred people from participating* in the vote over weird / stupid things they said years ago. They had no choice but to exit their keys, scramble to boot up another client, and

Very curious and optimistic to see how this develops with Network State outlining a vision for a decentralized digital democracy.
Appreciate that there’s a clear aim and goal for this even if it’s very lofty and ambitious.
There will certainly be some frictions and difficulties that may not work out for everyone but...

I don't recommend anyone scramble to move their funds to new wallets today. But we should take the risks to cryptography from AI-accelerated math seriously, and minimize our exposure to not just quantum-vulnerable cryptography, but also potentially AI-vulnerable cryptography.

You're missing the core drama of the story: Tristan is softly accusing OpenAI of having stolen their result from Codex chat logs.
