this is a pretty sophisticated scam attempt on X. not sure what's going on or how this is possible. if i click the profile it goes to mario's real profile. 2.2M followers. i don't really understand. i reached out to X support to flag it for them. nothing material back yet. curious to see what they say.

I get a few of these a week. All from media accounts. They all use roughly the same message and want to hop on a Zoom.

i got one in my email that was an invite to interview at a fake magazine. they had a website and everything. looked really believable

go to your settings in FC and X to shut down DMs from accounts you don't follow

and be wary of unsolicited offers in messages from accounts you do follow, in case the account has been hacked

I ignore 100% of those messages. Some from gold badge verified accounts even. All look scammy af

Classic copy-paste outreach smells like a trap every time.
