I’m bullish on AI, I’m nervous about it, I think everyone is freaking out a little too much, I’m surprised more people don’t use AI 5 plus hours a day, there is a lot of surface area that needs improvement, chat / text interfaces suck, voice is underrated.

I believe LLMs are already smarter than most people. Our interfaces were made when we had dumber computers that need stricter instructions… think Salesforce UI. LLMs have moved into this world faster than interfaces have changed. For example, reading walls of texts from agents is dumb… they should create PowerPoint...

This is a very apt thing I have noticed a certain malaise i am seeing. it honestly reminds me a lot of 2021 neovim config andies. You can build anything, just some time and some prompts and you got your fully custom piece of tech for exactly what you want!! but wait, here is

I’d like to think I’ve been a very honest member of Farcaster for a long time. In some ways, it’s actually good that Dan/Merkle (who I have incredible respect for) are no longer in charge of Farcaster. Shocking, maybe, but I had long come to believe Dan was no longer the right person for Farcaster (sorry Dan, no hard ...
Closing thoughts for today. 1. I don't think I have all the answers. Spent 5 years building Farcaster and it didn't work out. I failed. That's life. 2. Proud of my team's work. Hubs and Snapchain were / are an impressive technical achievement and it was really cool to see a non-blockchain distributed system get a dec

I believe crypto is about to go even more niche, and rapidly lose further mindshare to AI in the next 6 months

This is the most insane thing I’ve seen in a while and it’s not close.

Interesting point, that should have been obvious: Decentralized protocols with strong guarantees are what are neutral… not the people building on it, not the applications on it, not the institutions who contribute to it. We’ve never really had a truly neutral coordination layer.
You do not have to agree with me on which applications are and are not corposlop to use Ethereum. You do not have to agree with me on what trust assumptions are acceptable in which situations to use Ethereum. You do not have to agree with me on political topics to use Ethereum. You do not have to agree with my views

I agree with many people… Opus 4.5 really changed everything. It was the ChatGPT 3 to 4 moment for many.
I’ll be honest: I’m a tech bro, who deeply believes in cypherpunk ideals of crypto, and I’m totally going through an AI moment.
