i fear this app turning to other social media platforms (re: tiktok) i use this platform because i earn on it but also because it’s different. if you wanna make videos work, then we need more users (numbers wise, i’m thinking couple 100ks active users) if i’m interested in watching a particular kind of video content, say philosophy, there’s probably going to be about 2-3 videos about that topic at the most creators (web3 natives and normies) needs to see this platform as a viable alternative to the current mainstream platform. i think the solution is in bringing more users. ultimately farcaster reward will come to an end but users will still be able to earn via numerous token tipping.

I think it makes sense to have a scrolling video feed available when you open someone’s video on the TL. Then when you close the feed you’re back to where you left off. Feels the most natural to me just my 2 cents.

The human eye is so attracted to video it def needs to be present in some capacity. all for doing it in a well thought out way that doesnt detract from FC’s “hipster coolness”

Streaming and Caster "Stories" are two things that would be cool to see implemented, and there are probably net new ways to build them into the ux that are native to farcaster culture (as a bonus this leads to content produced from within the ecosystem, not just regurgitated content from other platforms)

love to see/hear this. what kind of experiments are you considering running? spent 10 years building in video (startups, vimeo, etc) so have a soft spot in my heart for teams and products that do video well and should probably distill learnings from all that time into some artifact (a video? lol) at some point...
