Last night I did the most polite passive aggressive thing I’ve ever done in Japan. I’m staying one night at a hotel. It’s overrun with teens. They are at a “training camp” for sports. They are EXCITED.

When doing one of the major pilgrimages in Japan, you leave behind osamefuda, which are dedication slips with your name and prayers/wishes. It’s like a record of your visit. People used to write them on wood and nail them to the temple walls. This is now illegal ;)
