Moxie rewards members daily based on quality of content -- as measured by who & how people engage The system favors engagements by people with more influence in the network. This is by design. Every time they engage they spend their "social capital" to signal to other people in the network that the content is worth their time and attention In this way Moxie rewards attention, and influentials provide attention "boosts" in the feed and on the social graph To make it more "fair" -- we couple that with enabling you to buy Fan Tokens which allow you to participate in the rewards earned by others who are garnering more attention. This allows you to earn by your own actions and by the actions of others. This is a purposeful design. We also welcome constructive criticism and ideas! We've been running this system for 90 day prior to Moxie and we'll run it as-is for at least 30 days prior before any tweaks. All Farcaster data is open on hubs and anyone can present an alternative scoring for us to consider

All it does is favour those who already possess significant social capital, creating an environment where the rich get richer. It would only lead lead to a perpetuation of existing social hierarchies rather than fostering genuine meritocracy. Individuals who are less influential but create high-quality content may find it challenging to gain traction if their work is consistently overshadowed by more influential users. I’m not saying i myself give quality content but even if i did, i could chat all day and gain nothing.💀

I think you should boost more $moxie earn by those with high social capital, it will help them earn more and distribute more $moxie to their fan token, make their fan tokens got more benefit. Now I feel that fan tokens is not so attractive because earning of their owner daily is too low so the $moxie be used to buy and burn fantokens is low too. Hard to balance this thing I have to admit that!

What makes one account more influential than another? I question the parameters of that because I see a good amount of high quality art accounts that don’t have influence that I think should.

Main issue I'm seeing is long-term sustainability if whole system just revolves around engagement (supply) & speculating on Fan Tokens (demand). Small poll I'm running below - so far not a single person said engagement is a good proxy for value creation, which means that long term token value is likely to fall (no value capture). I'd love to see Moxie reward algo try to capture community value creation (and can suggest some ideas/mechanisms to achieve that), which could then lead to long-term token value growth (and let smaller accounts feel the system is more "fair" also) https://warpcast.com/abundance/0xd7fe2dac
