threshold - i took a look at their limits - https://docs.convex.dev/production/state/limits - probably works for most people - i just don't know who's grown with them, per se (or in 6-12-18 months you end up seeing the "why i migrated from convex to postgres" blogs)

also, 1MB/doc might not be enough for some? mongodb is at 16mb right

did you watch the whole video? this is convex on planetscale postgres. convex is "source available" but not actually open source with the Functional Source License. i can see how convex is useful if you want to continue writing javascript, just can't imagine beyond smaller apps you'd not migrate

the convex reactive model is cool, but I'm not a fan of being locked into their infra or its abstraction — especially since you can't access the underlying db, making it limited and incompatible with tools like ponder that rely on it
