Does all detail from the past include books I read, etc?

I’m with @tracingstories I vote the past, if only because the unknown future is a large part of what makes to now so exciting. Will gladly forego β€œriches” of future knowledge.

if you could dictate a specific point in the future, I'd chose that. If it was just random, I'd go with past

See 1 minute into the future at any time. Is it just a one time thing tho?

If I choose the future, do I still have my awful memory skills or do they get even worse and I lose all memory?

Past 100%. I’d learn more lessons from my past than only a minute into my future πŸ™ŒπŸ»

I’ve thought a lot about remembering the past in detail and I would never want it. Our fading memories are a protection from old wounds but I’d love to see the future so I could see what my boys have ahead of them.

The past is pretty much the only way you can determine your way ahead, there's no future, there's only "now".. Using an example; if you're given a direction to a place and you end up lost, would you rather see where the place actually is for 1 minute or remember your way back first?

I chose the past. Knowing 1 minute in the future while having amnesia doesn't seem all that helpful to me! πŸ˜… 100 $degen

I have a terrible memory, so I go with being able to remember 100% of my past without a doubt. So many wonderful experiences that I have a very faint memory left. And I think knowing the future is dangerous. Life in the 3rd dimension is meant to be as is, until we are ready for more.

i feel like 1 minute in the future would have limited utility, but being able to remember every detail of the past sounds amazing as someone with a spotty memory.

The past is too painful. The future will usually be something new or novel.

I'd choose to remember every detail of my past because memories fade, and we lose touch with how we truly felt in the moment. We'd be wiser if we could hold on to those moments
