TikTok only exists because of user generated content. But users don’t get anything except a sense of pride and accomplishment.

i have mixed feelings on this

on one hand, she could’ve made $$ at someone else’s expense (she’s not really a “creator”, just captured a moment made possible by Coldplay) but she didn’t; it was just status quo social media

on the other hand, she captured a viral moment that unified the entire internet and gets nothing for it except millions of likes and tens of thousands of followers

This is the reality of content creation and going viral. FC is far more rewarding in comparison. and even though I am not a big creator on this or any platform, in comparison to streaming services and social media put together it's literally 0 vs 100. 
I wonder what a video on FC with a million views could be worth.
