has anyone analyzed wallet activity of addresses holding $mother or $jenner? consumer crypto stakeholders seem to be relatively bullish on memecoins playing a key role in onboarding the next million or billion this cycle's memecoins have been around for months now. what's the data show? should i @bountycaster this?

I am willing to bet that 80-90% of the people that bought these are hard core compulsive crypto gamblers and not new users. I am also completely out of touch with what is happening on TikTok so I might also lose that bet. I think meme coins will play a role but celeb coins are not meme coins. It’s a new class

I think you would find that most of them are only trading memecoins. Wouldn't be surprised of most are just Photon + BONKBot wallets that only really have buy/sell actions. General sentiment is that memecoins within the context of the frenzy are actually pretty boring, but they are just a vehicle for profits; and wherever the profits are, people will flow. There's definitely a big onboarding mechanism there, but I think the most potent one for blockchains in the foreseeable future will be through the application layer (use cases like Farcaster, Drip Haus, Lens, etc.), rather than through direct meme investing.

This cycle is the most weird one, but definitely we are seeing a new migration wave! There are bad actors with rug projects but at the end the influx of people benefits the ecosystem.
