I don't think the box office results inspired 3 films. The Human Centipede (First Sequence): Grossed $252,207, with a US gross of $181,467. The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence): Earned $141,877, with its initial release in 18 theaters opening at 45th place with $49,456. The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence): Grossed $18,976.

I almost puked from the trailer of the first one, I had a visceral physical reaction. My coworkers who were watching it with me were laughing and when I said, « what possible motive could anyone have for doing that to people?!? » One of them responded, « he’s a deranged scientist! » as if it answered the question. Did not watch, will not watch.
