Curious to know what parts of our app don't look or feel as polished as other apps you may use (like X, IG, BlueSky, etc)? Not necessarily talking about bugs (though please report!), but looking for things related to general app design, animations, transitions, etc

It's hard to point to any one thing because it's a systemic problem: the app feels like it was designed once and then 17 features were quickly shipped into prod without visual review, so the design system can't bear the weight An example though, why the hell is the ellipsis menu nested between two buttons lol

Oh well I just had a talk about this with ux people and they said you had a lot of weird bugs/transitions and a terrible menu something about two wallet options I dont personally notice any of this stuff but they were convinced it was a janky app they wouldn’t still use if they just started today

big one: i can't hold down on text in a cast and copy it or select it or translate it or etc medium one: tapping the bottom nav icons doesn't scroll to the top of the page reliably

swipe screen to go back works very selectively touch areas overall are pretty fickle i don't really have the native vocab to communicate exactly what i'm trying to say but hopefully that's close enough

had a running list of these! - tapping on the top of the screen doesn’t scroll back to the top - swipe from right doesn’t return to previous nested screen (on slack this returns to the last thread or channel and is great if I accidentally swipe back) - still not sure how to post in channels sometimes (have to become a member/unclear what a member is) - pinning posts to profiles - need to double check this, but at least as recently as a month the image compression algo was making my photos blurry in the feed. I had to manually decrease image size before posting to alleviate it - horsefacts still beats me in miniword every day - account switcher instead of a blind logout/log back in - sharing still looks kind of funky in iMessage, would love richer previews like Reddit or Twitter (this does hold me back from sharing because I know friends won’t immediately “get it”)

I feel there's a *little* too much real estate given on the left side where pfps are. See comparison lined up with X. The extra pixel width makes a subtle difference for photo/video consumption.
