The more I listen the fall of civilizations podcast, the more evident it becomes to me that America is an empire in decline. There are so many parellels between the Western Roman Empire or the Han Dynasty and the USA. From political corruption to the rising gap between haves and have nots. As a species, we’ve been here many times before…

I like the book "Dealing with the Changing World Order." If we trust that the same pattern is happening, then decline is inevitable. I just hope it is not as bloody a change as previous ones were.

It reminds me of a book that flips this idea on its head, "The Next 100 Years" by George Friedman. He's an ex-CIA analyst His core take: internal politics are just noise.
