A tale of two interview processes (neither of which I got): BigCorp - 12 interviews over 10 months (!) - 2 rejections from people I never met followed up weeks later with a callback that yes they did indeed want me and please do another interview - constantly being told they wanted my experience but being interviewed for different skills - led to a general icky feeling towards said corp and ceasing my use of their product ScrappyCorp - 6 interviews + paid work trial over 3 months - meeting with people who actually knew who I was and went as far as reading my blog - general bullishness towards team and product with good vibes even though it didn’t work out There’s a right and a wrong way to do things ;)

my husband got an immediate (and probably automated) rejection after submitting his resume for a job. a month later he got a call from them saying they wanted to interview him 🄓 i know the reports say the job market is strong, but companies are seriously wacky right now
