does anyone know what the approximate translation of "based" in chinese would be?

To capture the essence, meaning & vibe of "based" in chinese, am thinking either we can go with: 

真 or 真牛

- it sounds like based when pronounced (common in proper names)

In Chinese, "基地" as the translation of “base”means a place where activities are centered, like a main site for operations or a hub for resources and personnel.

积极 is the literally translation of optimism. But Base in Chinese means 基. 基  and 积 have the same sound, so we substitute it and turn it into 基极. 

It means "super-based". 

So the four character phrase means: super-based and optimistic.
