While Kaloh’s $i token for @indexy has seen strong performance, this article he wrote is just as worth highlighting. It shows how crypto tokens are evolving from hype to real utility, enhancing user experience, driving engagement, and enabling sustainable growth.
For creators, tokens improve products, boost visibility, and open new revenue streams. For users, they offer real utility, ownership, and meaningful participation. A true win-win.
The article features great examples like $NOICE, $QR, and $CHECKR, and @indexy itself is successfully putting these ideas into practice with $i.
That’s also why I created the Farcaster Product Index on @indexy, to track and highlight tokenized Farcaster-native products worth following.
There are many talented devs on Farcaster building products, especially miniapps, on top of its open, programmable social protocol. They’re creating real user value and achieving meaningful product success by tokenizing their apps. I believe this is just the beginning. 3 replies

A nice review of the recently popular social prediction project Upside.fun on Base, written by @llamabee.
Many past attempts to put content onchain have proven unsustainable, most ended up as short-term PVP games with little long-term value. UpsideFun.twitter doesn't just tokenize content, it gamifies the speculation around it by combining it with social prediction mechanics.
Each piece of content can be seen as a real-time attention market, where players bet on which content will go viral in each round. It’s more than just voting, curators, traders, creators, voters, and inviters all have different ways to earn, making the gameplay more dynamic.
I’m curious to see how it performs as more people join, and whether it proves to be more sustainable and active than similar projects in the past. 3 replies

Hey.xyz client on Lens has officially launched Hey Pro to offer exclusive features. Subscriptions still seem to be one of the most effective ways for onchain social products to generate revenue.
previously priced at $5/month, Hey Pro now costs $20/year, a move that likely reflects a compromise between pricing and the number of subscribers, given that Lens currently has a relatively small user base (fewer than 5,000 daily active posters).
In contrast, Farcaster is able to charge $120/year thanks to a much larger and more active user base, a thriving eco of apps, and strong network effects, the top 10k have already gained benefits that far exceed the subscription fee. and this large base of paying users helps sustain the network, supporting quality services, rewarding top creators and builders, and powering a positive flywheel effect.
It’s unclear if Hey can sustain itself this way, given other Lens clients have sunset or been acquired. would be glad if it stays a useful reference for the Farcaster eco. 15 replies
