i recommend getting 3-5 jobs in tech in the span of 4 years and acquiring several monitors and then they never make you send them back

I love this monitor. I never thought I would own a Dell anything but it’s a fantastic 40 ‘’ 4k monitor with a built in kvm supporting two computers. I replaced LGs after I could not longer stand the windows jumping around after the monitors went to sleep. https://a.co/d/dwIRogf

studio display is good if you’re in a mac environment but will be refreshed at some point in the next 3yr, so maybe wait. don’t hold your breath though. LG ultrafine 6k aka 32U990A (32” / 6k / TB5) also looks promising. unveiled at CES this year but who knows when it will be available. current 5k studio display was based on the LG ultrafine 5k (same panel, worse stand etc.) so would make sense if the new LG 6k later became a refreshed studio display.

cheap hack is to use a smaller hi res tv. can be a lot cheaper than a computer monitor with similar specs
