Is peter Luger still that guy or is there a different OG steak house worth going when visiting nyc?

No Michelin trendy places but just like OG steakhouses. Tried gage and tollner once, that was cool but currently made a reservation at Peter’s since I always heard such magical things and never experienced

I personally hate it there haha I find them to be rude and their steak isn't good enough to justify that. Have heard good things about Keens, Gallagher's, Hawksmoor, and Delmonico's. Or if you're really set on Luger-style (without the shitty service) go to Wolfgang’s which was started by ex-Luger folks.

I also haven’t been back to St Anselm in Brooklyn since it reopened after the kitchen fire but it’s my fav steakhouse in williamsburg besides Lugers

I love Luger's but if you're visiting why not try a new one? Smith & Wollensky is another classic.

Peter Luger will always be that guy as long as creamed spinach is on the menu.

peter luger is still iconic, no cap. but if you’re looking for something different, check out keens or the newest spot in the meatpacking. they’re both fire!
