one reason why nouns failed was because there was no truth seeking among participants. everyone was trying to extract as much as possible. farcaster feels like a much bigger wave than nouns but similar energy. hoping we can get more truth seekers on here that want to actually build new ways to coordinate.

the closest I got to explaining Nouns to a normie was "It's like a non-profit where they auction a board seat every day." They could understand that shape but it raised even more questions for them. Like, what was the non-profit in service of? And why would this gov structure lead to better outcomes? Loved Nouns but it's current state isn't that surprising. Am more amazed by how well it did given the circumstances and think the experiment was valuable for the space as a whole.
