one reason why nouns failed was because there was no truth seeking among participants. everyone was trying to extract as much as possible. farcaster feels like a much bigger wave than nouns but similar energy. hoping we can get more truth seekers on here that want to actually build new ways to coordinate.

i think it's still going but the community is pretty dead and most of the big contributors left. looks like they're still being auctioned at ~1 eth each

interesting. so the treasury effectively ran out? did nouns shut down?

tldr:

- one NFT auctioned every day, proceeds go to treasury
- treasury funds voted on by NFT holders
- early whales had much of the voting power and wanted to fund creative works with no ROI (ie. large parades)
- ultimately no sustainability led to its collapse
