idk…when’s the last time you jumped off a swing? played tag? played pretend? ran around and giggled in public? had a sword fight? displayed big emotions in public without fear?

there’s so much about childhood we lose as adults - a sense of imagination, of being carefree, of not having any responsibilities other than to grow and learn and discover yourself 

as a childless adult, you just have freedom from responsibility of taking care of a kid. you’re still very much so an adult with adult responsibilities and expectations 🥲

I actually think it’s the other way around: people don’t have kids so they can continue acting like kids

this ^ it's weird to go to a water park by yourself as an adult!! but if you have a kid, it's totally chill

if i go to a playground full of kids as an adult by myself, i'll get weird looks. if i'm a dude, i might even have someone tell me to go away bc solo adult men at child's playground = big no no

idk it's a lot easier to do w/o kids but i've been wanting to go to the water park for years and have been trying to get my sister to get her kid to go there so i can go with so maybe there's something to that too 🤪
