Actual chess is 2D. Everyone says “4D chess” to imply wicked smart strategy. What happened to 3D chess? Because every time someone says “4D chess” I just assume they are an idiot who thinks chess is played in 3 dimensions because you pick the piece up to move it on the 2D grid.
