hello i was a neuro and psych major and researched neuroplasticity for 4 years during and after university creativity is largely just your ability to think divergently (instead of converging) any compound that encourages dendritic growth and synaptic formation (i.e. new neural connections to form) will increase the potential for divergent thinking psychedelics are by far one of the most potent and accessible proven methods of encouraging new connections to form, along with DBS and other more invasive ways of directly stimulating the brain. the stamet's stack (a microdose of psilocybin, lion's mane, and niacin) is a protocol i personally recommend. HOWEVER you must have diversity in experience and breadth of knowledge to think divergently so before you go popping a bunch of supplements, if you don't have a life that lends itself to new knowledge and experiences - start there

this is why new ideas happen at the intersections of fields of study rather than deeply embedded within a single field

Omg I have so many questions for you.. Does something like Stamets stack permanently increase creativity or just while you're on them?

This is a beautiful sentiment, and one reason why I worry about "fully optimized" productivity + longevity protocols. We need to keep space in our life for art, conversation, fiction, chance encounters and general serendipity.

i’ve always had respect for psychedelics and never thought of them as something to improve creativity regularly, like on a weekly or monthly basis what’s your take based on your own experience? and what should i research into?
