Feels like there’s a pretty big arb for publishing children’s books right now. Claude for writing / rhyming ChatGPT / Midjourney for images Maybe the bigger opportunity is animating and then making Peppa Pig / Bluey competitors on YouTube.

lol I’ve been working on a children’s book for 2 years (a side project to my side projects). On track to self-publish in the next 3 months. My sister is hand painting every drawing. Definitely not doing it for the money.

Please no. My kid has received two books from relatives that they didn't realize were written by AI, and they're really the worst books ever. I don't want to sound like an anti AI Luddite, but I really think children's books should have a point of view from a real human.

This is one of those ideas that fall into the Proximity Paradox where the closer you get the more you realize how broad and large the competition is and how hard it is to get any traction…amazing for fun family heirlooms and non-commercial endeavors tho!

Publishers need writers anyway or it'll just be AI slop books people don't want. Most writers don't need it, they can just write the children's book normally and it'll be much more meaningful. It's nice to expand accessibility options for people who do need it though. Animation yeah but I'm not sure the tools are there for people yet really. Clips people are sharing are ok but not coherent as long form content. To make it into a really good show that will catch on, I think it takes a huge amount of time and resources still.
