No, they're going under because they've been "struggling with losses and hefty debt load for years". Tariffs may have been the last straw, sure, but they're a convenient excuse for what seems like a poorly run business. Disclaimer: I'm independent (right-leaning moderate, vote on both sides of the aisle).

Yeah I has the same read… we’re struggling to stay afloat and tariffs pushed them over the edge. There’s a heap of companies I. A similar situation when they have to roll their corp debt at the newer interest rates, and as private credit starts to rethink their allocations:

Probably this. Stellantis under Tavares switched to cheaper suppliers that make lower quality parts, hence this was probably a long time coming for a flat out lower-tier business.
