Honestly, it seems as if the tariffs hit them and they finally woke up.

They DID make something happen: creditors gave them $1B bailout.

So, if the tarrifs hadn’t hit them, they may have been able to make something happen but the government made that impossible?

No, they're going under because they've been "struggling with losses and hefty debt load for years". 

Tariffs may have been the last straw, sure, but they're a convenient excuse for what seems like a poorly run business.

Disclaimer: I'm independent (right-leaning moderate, vote on both sides of the aisle).

Now I think the tariffs are a dumb idea. But we need a good purging of companies to make room for new tech.

Elections have consequences indeed. Marelli that has been existing since 1919, even though they only dabbled into internal electronics for the auto mobile industry in 2019, now they're shutting down because of unfavorable policies. Tragic

It's shocking to hear that Thai people living there are also having a hard time.
