In the Base app, quote casts should be coined using the original cast’s coin as the quote-pair If you drive distribution & attention back to the original cast, it should boost the original cast’s value

this would be cooler to see in paragraph, with multi author articles as well as any link references :) back in mirror days we had thought about each link to another mirror post containing a split, but gas costs didn't make sense for it back then

just give a percentage of earnings like a referral instead would be better imo if you pair the coins, draining the og cast coin will drain the other too (and it is an adversarial env, it will happpen and eventually become the rule imo)

First of all the quote post needs to show the quoted post on the feed. Second we can have the option for the quote to be able to coined. Then we can move to this idea.

liquidity would be a big issue probably to the point that it’s not worth it every cast should be treated as an original, even if it’s a quote cast

The share in revenue makes sense from an amplification perspective, but does it incentivize quote cast spamming to try to cash in on shared revenue? e.g., Jesse coins something and then bots coin quote casts and then sell their quote cast coin to get a free buy-in to Jesse's cast coin?
