This lesson in leadership I learned the hard way.
I thought I was being open and honest by sharing everything, always.
I was actually creating chaos.
I still share almost everything, but I do it with rituals so people know when to expect it, and I can be more thoughtful.

The best advice I ever got?
Never ask the second question.
If you’re already thinking of what to say next, you’re not listening
I stopped trying to sound smart… and people started telling me the truth.

Is it illegal to give away money to followers?
What if I said I would give 1 ETH to a randomly chosen follower this Friday?
Screw it, let's do it. I'm gonna give someone 1 ETH on Friday.
Only rule: Must Recast this post with what you'd do with the ETH

Been working on something new…
just overhauled the signup flow, it’s rough but it’s so simple, testing it out… whatcha think?
a decentralized Signal - passkey messenger - built on @xmtp
In < 10 seconds you can get…
🔑 Passkey only login (no phone number or single global identifier required. Connect as many identities as you want & stay private)
🔒 MLS security and encryption (post forward secrecy & post-compromise security. No back door. Signal level security)
🪙 Everyone gets a wallet by default - simple as a passkey (just hold cash, no Education required. Can connect any external wallet)
🪪 Connect any identity or multiple identities - bring Signal level security & messaging to all of your identities (Farcaster, ENS, Lens, Base, we even have Randos (our version of temporary or incognito) to stay protected and private)
👮Network level consent to protect your inbox from spam and scams.
🌐 Decentralized with XMTP to ensure censorship-resistance (more important now than ever)

Big day here...
Ephemera has acquired @converseapp, and as of 9 am EST, we open-sourced it.
Converse is the simplest and fastest app built on XMTP. The Converse team has been building with XMTP since day one, and with the ability to reach over 2m+ identities on XMTP, we are excited to put more resources into building a better future together.
We need to make using crypto as easy as sending a message. We have already started implementing secure groups into Converse and we have so much more work to do so everyone in the world has a secure messaging application that is native to crypto.
Everything starts with trust.
The world needs an open, secure, and decentralized communication platform. One that everyone can trust to build on and use.
That’s why we are open-sourcing the application layer, which is also built on the open & secure XMTP network.
