Interesting take. Never really thought of it physiologically. Always figured time wearing you down with disappointment, frustration, betrayal, etc. coupled with immense gratitude, joy, etc. “Can’t feel pleasure without pain” type beat. But you’re probably right. You gotta get physically rocked to truly know yourself.

Well said. There's a quiet power in self-awareness before life forces it on you. Youth with depth is rare - and often misunderstood -because it threatens the assumptions of those still trying to figure themselves out later in life.
