@ramsey: I'm all covered with watches, I don't need any, I have a daily, a beater, a diver and a dress watch. I'm good. Sinn: issues 103 St Sa Ty Hd H (the naming is ridiculous, I know). @ramsey: *starts hyperventilating... Sidenote: Sinn prices are now in the Tudor area and some even slowly creeping into Omega territory. I love the brand, but that's insane. this beauty is €3.5k (even higher in US, due to tarrifs).

Anyone familiar with Nubeo? I came across this licensed Space Invaders watch. I guess because I'm a retro nerd, it sang to me. It is 48mm, and my wrist is only 16.5cm/6.3", so for me it'd be on the large side. But OTOH, I like looking at it, it's only $122, and the reviews of the finishing are good for the money. I’m not sure if it’s real or not so I’m getting it authenticated, but I was able to cop a Nomos Ludwig for just $500. 😱 If it’s real, I might end up flipping it. I think I can take in a solid $1000+ for it. Conflicted because on one hand, it looks an awful lot like my IWC Portofino that I got as a gift for completing grad school. OTH, it’s such a steal at that price, and I don’t think I have any German watches.

What do you think is the most overrated watch brand? My pick would be Hublot. Their movements are mid, but you're paying a luxury price tag, and the designs are not that great. I think you could get much better watches for much less. What would you say is overrated?

Today’s watch is another Orient Bambino. Orient is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Seiko. This one is an automatic Japanese movement (not quartz). I’ll say again, Orient represents the best bang for your buck in the watch market and is an EXCELLENT entry point into watch collecting. Both my Orients stay in the same case as my luxury watches (Rolex, IWC, Tag Heuer, etc). That’s how highly I rank them.
