The world’s largest freshwater island sits in Lake Huron. Manitoulin Island is part of the Niagara Escarpment. On it, more than 70 feet above Lake Huron, is Mindemoya Lake. In that lake is an island… Hence Treasure Island, Ontario, is the world’s largest island in a lake on an island in a lake.
